NOTE: The change between this upload (Finalized) and the previous upload is only the trees, the wall and the building in the background. I felt this needed to be changed as otherwise it looked like the car was in the sky. That's kinda stupid. This makes it look more believable and hopefull more official.
Even after being smothered with ice cream and kitties, no one likes a needle. A scene taken from the episode "Bart-Mangled Banner" and remastered into what I hope looks like official Simpsons artwork.
This is also my very first image to be submitted as a print, as the previous version was requested. I'm interested to see what happens there.
So yeah your eyes aren't playing tricks, I just drew some western animation. I watched The Simpsons the other morning and just felt the need to do this. The circle tool really did some justice here, I'm pretty happy with the eyes. The expressions worked out quite well too i think. I stuck to the style though, I used to draw these guys a lot when I was younger. It feels good to go back to it. The Simpsons are very strange to cell shade, atleast compared to DBZ. It was almost too simple, so I felt i needed to complicate it a little, and in turn sorta screwed it up.
I can probably arrange it to fit wallpapers, so If you want me to, just ask.
I really like this pic. I'm always looking for images of the kids expressing emotions; likewise for pics of Maggie without her pacifier. It may seem easy for you to have created this masterpiece, but for someone whose forte isn't drawing -- even with a computer paint program -- it appears to be much more difficult.
You mention needles, so am I to assume that the kids have just been vaccinated? That would explain the pain they feel at having to sit through a bumpy car ride home. And I suppose Homer duped them into thinking they'd been going out for "frosty chocolate milkshakes"!
